Death of Archbishop Emeritus Keith Patrick Cardinal O’Brien

At 1am on Monday 19 March 2018, His Eminence Keith Patrick Cardinal O’Brien, Archbishop Emeritus of St Andrews & Edinburgh, died at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne surrounded by family and friends and fortified by the rites of Holy Church. He was 80 years old.

CCEE-CEC Joint Committee asks for the Status Quo in Jerusalem to be respected

Following the meeting of the members of the CCEE-CEC Joint Committee in Brussels, from 9-10 March, presidents of the two European ecclesial organisations - Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, CCEE president and Bishop Christopher Hill, CEC president, issued a letter of support to the three leaders of the churches who recently signed a joint statement protesting the proposal of the municipality of Jerusalem to tax the religious buildings.

UK detention centres “shameful” says Lead Bishop on Migration
